I love capturing the personalities of everyone in the family.

Although their portraits turned out beautifully, just like them; we had a journey getting here. Angie and I had talked about taking the Jacobs family portraits in a sunflower field the weekend before their final photo shoot date. But the smoke from the tragic fires we were surrounded by had us postponing the photo shoot for the weekend after. But what ended up taking our photography journey down a new direction completely, was finding out the Tuesday before their photo shoot, that the sunflowers had been cut down!! I felt so badly telling Angie the news, but with a positive attitude, we set up our photo shoot at Biddle Park in Arroyo Grande, CA for the nice green, summery look. And to my surprise, the smart mamma still brought the sunflower feel to the photo shoot by dressing her family up in a joyful yellow outfit. With everyone's adorable matching outfits, plus the smiles and everyone's unique personalities shining though, we were able to get so many wonderful pictures of the family.

As I was posing the family I look over at Arya and she had the cutest little smile while holding her hands to her hip in the most sassy way.

As we were walking I turn to see Skyler, who is just learning to walk, falling and stumbling. But she was so happy trying.
