Slice of Heaven

Before I talk about how wonderful it was to meet this family, I would like to take a moment to say that finding the house that we used for our location was such an adventure. The house was tucked way, way, way back in the country! I grew up in Templeton, CA, so when I saw that the house was some where near my old stomping grounds, I though "Oh cool! I'll just stay at my moms the night before and be there in about 20 minutes...." Wrong!! I drive by all of these places that I recognize. I passed a friend of the families house where I used to have to run from a turkey that like to chase after me, than an old cemetery that my friends and I would try to scare each other at some nights, than passed Justin Wineries where my husband and I ate one Valentines Day a few years back, and I kept driving..... and driving....... and driving, until about an hour later, I reached this place that I was almost certain was a slice of Heaven on Earth. Seriously, how did I not know about this area?!

And than I had the pleasure of meeting the family.
Now I had a feeling I would instantly fall in love with Kaci, especially after that morning, when she had text me a few pictures of the outside of the house, just to be sure I didn't get lost or stressed finding it. (Serious bonus points in my book) But than I met her 4 year old daughter who ran up to me to give me a hug! (Yeah, my heart melted) and than one by one the family introduced themselves in such a warm and inviting way, that made me feel so welcomed. Between their hospitality, their beautiful faces and personalities, and the breath-taking landscape, I knew this would be an amazing photo shoot. Just look at those smiles.

"Alora took photos of our extended family (14people) including my nephew who is autistic and my sassy 4 year old. Not only was she so sweet to work with, the photos turned out great!
